California has the highest hydrologic variability in the nation, which means that one month we can receive a deluge, and the next we can revert to dry conditions. We need rain and snow to continue falling in the coming months to replenish depleted state reservoirs and overcome this drought. We need to work together to conserve water and develop new innovate strategies to adapt to our new drought reality and climate change. We can accomplish this by investing in local water supplies, storm water capture, and water infrastructure.
