Unique to Central Basin Municipal Water District, the Board is comprised of four publicly elected directors, and three directors appointed by the water purveyors within the District.
The District conducted the appointed purveyor election to fill two seats representing all the water purveyors, and representing the city purveyors. Ballots were due on September 30, 2024.
In mid-September, one of the two nominees for the seat representing all water purveyors withdrew from the process leaving one remaining nominee, Nem Ochoa. Director Ochoa was sworn in on September 23, 2024, and attended his first Board meeting on October 3, 2024.
