United Technologies Corporation Aerospace Systems

Central Basin has completed construction for a recycled water project in the cities of Santa Fe Springs and Norwalk that will initially provide 80 Acre-Feet of recycled water to United Technologies Corporation Aerospace Systems (UTC) in Santa Fe Springs. The project is scheduled to commence with water deliveries in April 2018. The use of recycled water at the site will be for UTC's cooling towers and replace over 95% of UTC's Santa Fe Springs facilities use of potable water.

The UTC facility in Santa Fe Springs will be one of the largest consumers of recycled water in the Central Basin service area. It will be the third largest in Santa Fe Springs and tenth throughout Central Basin's service area. Future expanded use by UTC could increase to 130 Acre-Feet annually or over 42 million gallons of water per year.
