Gateway Cities Recycled Water Expansion

Central Basin has worked directly with the City of South Gate, the City of Bell Gardens, and the City of Lynwood to expand the Central Basin recycled water supply in their areas. The three pipeline expansions will provide recycled water to businesses, parks, and schools located within the three disadvantaged communities. gateway map

The three projects as designed consist of approximately 37,000 linear feet of purple pipeline and are planned to provide an estimated 350 acre-feet of recycled water to end users identified during the process.

Project designs and environmental compliance were funded through the Proposition 84 by the State of California Department of Water Resources, Gateway Water Authority, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works Flood Control District.
